BEN BAXTER

Ben's early passion for sports has evolved into competing in the premier 1 division at the UWA Hockey Club. With a bachelor's degree in Sport Science, Exercise, and Health, Ben became a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. Further studies as an Exercise Physiologist at UWA deepened his understanding of exercise rehabilitation.

Post-university, Ben gained experience in Sydney but returned to Perth to found Motion Matters Exercise Physiology. This venture, a blend of his education and experience, offers a unique mix of group fitness and individualised rehabilitation services. Motion Matters reflects Ben's vision of a space where community and rehabilitation seamlessly converge. By leveraging academic achievements and hands-on expertise, Ben strives to provide personalised fitness solutions, fostering a supportive community and delivering targeted exercise rehabilitation for a holistic approach to health and wellness.

Ben has interests within the mental health/illness space, sports injuries, preventive health, exercise performance and rehabilitation.


CAM DUFFY

Cam graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Science (Sports Science and Exercise & Health). He then decided to deepen his understanding of the field with a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology.

The highlight of Cam’s time at university was spending time at a number of different practicum placement locations. It was here that he was exposed to a variety of clients from all walks of life with a huge spectrum of clinical conditions. This experience has cultivated a passion for using exercise as a tool to help individuals achieve their goals, no matter how big or small.

In his own time, Cam enjoys spending time swimming laps at the beach or playing ultimate frisbee.

Cam enjoys seeing clients with a wide range of conditions but has a particular interest in working with the cardiovascular, metabolic and cancer rehabilitation populations.


NAT ELKS

Nat graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Science (Sports Science & Exercise and Health) and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology.

Exposure to a variety of clinical populations throughout university placements across various clinical populations played a key role in shaping Nat’s development in becoming an exercise physiologist. These experiences reinforced a strong belief in the value of movement as a tool to support physical and mental health across all stages of life. He firmly believes in a supportive, client-focused approach, working closely with individuals to help them build confidence in movement and progress towards goals that are meaningful to them.

Outside of work, Nat enjoys swimming, going to the gym, spending time outdoors at the beach or camping, and listening to music and playing guitar.

Nat has a particular interest in working with neurological, mental health, and paediatric populations.
